Downtown Development Authority
The Town of Tyrone is now in the process of activating a Downtown Development Authority to help facilitate smart growth and economic development in the Downtown area. A major part of this process is appointing a board, which must consist of seven (7) individuals who are either Tyrone citizens or Fayette County citizens who operate businesses in the Downtown area. Applicants will be vetted by our staff and elected officials and those selected to serve will be appointed by a formal vote of the Council.
If you’re interested in serving in this role, we will be hosting an optional information session on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at 10 a.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall (950 Senoia Road).
