The Governor’s Executive Order – Shelter in Place

On April 2, 2020 at 3:12 pm, Governor Brian Kemp signed an Executive Order mandating, among other things, that Georgians shelter in place. The full order is below for public review.

The Governor’s order supersedes any local ordinances pertaining to the Covid-19 emergency while it is in effect, which is through April 13, 2020 at 11:59 pm. Consequently, all Tyrone citizens are asked to abide by the Governor’s order effective at 6 pm on Friday April 3, 2020.

PLEASE NOTE: The Town of Tyrone’s elected officials and staff cannot make interpretations of this order pertaining to essential businesses and activities nor can we issue letters or other documentation certifying any business or activity essential. The language in the order speaks for itself.
