Open a Business in Tyrone
Individuals and entities wishing to conduct business in the Town of Tyrone must obtain an Occupation Tax Certificate. Please download documents below for either a Regular business or a Home Occupation to begin the process.
Applications may also be picked up in person at Town Hall, 881 Senoia Road, Tyrone, GA 30290.Completed forms may be mailed or delivered to Town Hall. A copy of your ID is required.
If you are not a Home Occupation, please contact Fayette County Fire Marshal’s Office at 770-305-5414 to schedule an inspection prior to opening your business.

Application for Canvasser, Solicitor, Peddler & Transient Merchant
Any person soliciting funds, contributions, donations or information, selling items or taking orders door to door, either at businesses or residences, shall be deemed to be canvassing, soliciting or peddling and shall register and obtain a permit.

Compete the application; visit the Tyrone Police Department at 945 Senoia Road for a background check, then turn in the paperwork to the Town Clerk located at Town Hall, 881 Senoia Road.
