ARTS & CRAFTS
The hour long interactive story-time is geared for preschoolers ages 3 to 5 and their caregivers. There is no cost or registration required. Younger siblings are always welcome to attend.
The purpose of story-time is to promote a love of books and reading, to share an appreciation of stories, to introduce the library to children and to promote lifelong use of the library. The Story-time Librarian, Miss Katie, plans programs which are age appropriate and enjoyable. Each program promotes listening and other pre-reading skills through the inclusion of books and activities such as music, puppets, and crafts. Children learn group and socialization skills while having FUN! While specific lessons are not “taught” at story-time, children experience a wide variety of themes and concepts through the use of age appropriate literature. Story-time is a fun and friendly place to meet and greet your neighbors.
