Brandon began his public service career while still in high school when he became a volunteer firefighter for the City of Palmetto in 1994.  In 1996, he went to work for the Fairburn Police Department and eventually came to work for the Tyrone Police Department in 1999. After serving at several ranks and capacities in our Police Department, he was appointed to the rank of Chief of Police in September 2007 and served in that role until he was appointed Town Manager in November 2018. As the Town’s Police Chief, Brandon was recognized with a “40 Under 40” Award by the International Association of Chiefs of Police in 2016.

The Town Manager is appointed by the Mayor and Town Council and serves as the Chief Administrative Officer for the Town. In this role, Brandon is responsible for the day to day operations of the Town to include implementing the Town Council’s vision for the community, overseeing each Town department, hiring and supervising staff, and management of the operating budget.

Brandon has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from Columbia Southern University and an MBA with a concentration in Human Resources from Liberty University. He is a lifetime member of the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police (GACP), a member of the International City & County Manager’s Association (ICMA) through which he has earned “Certified Manager” designation, a member of the Fayette County Accountability Court Advisory Board, and an ex-officio member of the Board of the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce.
