The Town of Tyrone, Georgia is seeking a highly-qualified and proven local government professional to fill the role of Town Manager.  This high-level management position is responsible for directing and supervising all daily non-public safety operations of the municipality.

The incumbent will serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and four-member Town Council and act as both the Town Manager and Zoning Administrator as outlined in the local Code of Ordinances.  A full list of duties and responsibilities is available for review along with this vacancy announcement on the Town’s website.  All applicable information can be found at http://www.tyrone.org/links/employment/

Minimum Qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Public Administration or a related field; ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in local government; valid State of Georgia Driver’s License and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.  All final candidates will be required to satisfactorily pass criminal background, credit history and drug checks.  Salary and Benefits are competitive and DOQ.
